What is ISO?

The International Organization for Standardization or commonly known as ISO, is the worlds largest developer and publisher of international manufacturer and supply standards. A non government organization based 157 countries, ISO strives to bring better products to consumers at fair price, and helping businesses reach new levels of safety and efficiency. Headquarters are located in Geneva, Switzerland. Uniquely, in recognition that the company name would not translate to the abbreviation ISO in all languages, the founders chose ISO based on the Greek word equal, reflecting the aim of the organization goal of equalize and standardize across cultures.
